Sustainability Managed Assessed

In today’s business environment of increasing pressure to compete on a global stage with limited resources, the knowledge and understanding of topics like "Corporate Responsibility" and "Sustainability" becomes particularly imperative in order to respond to new challenges.

To facilitate Excellence in Sustainability, the EFQM launched a set of interrelated Training Courses, delivered in cooperation with STREAM, to help professionals and organisations learn how to Manage Sustainability and Assess Sustainability in a systematic way, as well as facilitate employees thinking in a responsible way:

“Sustainability Management Training” (SMT)

  • This 2-day course is designed for professionals who want to understand the way to manage Sustainability and handle required change, structured around 14 systematic steps.
  • The course is highly interactive, in small teams (maximum number of participants is 12), includes team workshops, individual exercises, best practices from leading organisations, case studies, videos examples etc.
  • Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Certificate of successful completion as “Sustainability Management Professional” by the EFQM.

“Sustainability Assessment Training” (SAT)

  • This 2-day course is designed for professionals who want to be able to assess objectively and improve their organisation's Sustainability level.
  • The course is highly interactive, in very small teams (maximum number of participants is 8), includes team workshops and personalised individual feedback.
  • Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Certificate of successful completion as “Sustainability Assessors” by the EFQM and will be registered as formal Sustainability Assessors of the EFQM.

“Sustainability eLearning” (SeL)

  • This 1 hour on-line training course is designed for employees to understand the fundamentals of Sustainability and start thinking in a responsible way.

Audience: Participants can be managers and professionals from departments such as sustainability, corporate responsibility, business excellence, strategy and planning, human resources, communications, procurement, environment, health and safety management and functional specialists that require a better understanding of how to take responsibility for a sustainable future in their organization’s strategies and operations. Senior Managers and Managers who have already participated were from organisations such as: Coca-Cola HBC, Deutsche Telekom, Heineken, TNT, Bosch, Aramex, Grundfos, Danfoss, Interface etc.

Dates: The in class courses will be offered within 2016 at the EFQM Offices in Brussels and Dubai, while the Sustainability eLearning course (SeL) is open throughout the year.

The combination of these courses offers a holistic approach to learn in 4 days how to analyze, access and manage Sustainability in a systematic way.

  • Participants can choose to be trained on Sustainability Management (Days 1 and 2) and/or Sustainability Assessment (Days 3 and 4).
